on our trip to iceland a while back we went on a day tour around the outlying regions. this house was along one of the main roads and the pic is stitched together from 5 images. i'm off away on business for two weeks tomorrow so things will be quiet here.

another photo from my work trip to the hunter valley, just outside sydney, australia. i liked the way this looked in the early morning light. not much work done as the picture was almost monochromatic to start with.

this shot was taken when we were on our honeymoon in ireland. when you visit the factory you walk in a winding route and at one stage you walk behind this waterfall. after you leave you go past the other side and this is when i took this shot.

i'm off to prague in november and it reminded me of a trip vic and i took there a while back. this was the view from our room in a hotel that was built in the 16th century.

The pōhutukawa (metrosideros excelsa) is a coastal evergreen tree of the myrtle family that produces a brilliant display of red flowers made up of a mass of stamens. the pōhutukawa is one of twelve metrosideros species endemic to new zealand. slow shutter speed to try and give a riot of colour :)

a bike in an alley in tokyo, japan. i was in tokyo on business and had one day free so went for a wander. this alley was in akihabara, the most high tech of suburbs and was only meters from a massively crowded street.
